The numbers are already set for HTC but the management is not comfortable with it as they declare that they are expecting a higher revenue this coming fourth quarter.
Their goal is to reach the T$1.4 billion. This is T$41.5 billion higher than what market is expecting. However, the case was not the same for the third quarter for the smartphone company. The public was expecting a revenue higher than what they got. To be exact, they only got T$41.86 billion in revenue in the past quarter’s outing.
The numbers that they are looking at resembles a 19 to 21 percent increase in sales from the last quarter. This could mean that they should be releasing more products or they will have to inject other marketing strategies to boost their sales.
They are already looking good because earlier in the quarter, they were able to exceed the expected number. Thomson Reuter said that they were able to bag T$640 million in the first blow of the final quarter. This is already way too much than the expected T$216.23 million from them.
This year has been very tough for the Taiwanese company. They report that this is the first time that they are experiencing a loss in a decade.
They are looking at possibilities now that they are among the few companies that have smartphone on their products list. The struggle to keep up the competition with bigger tech companies, such as Samsung and Apple, has been getting in the way of reaching the numbers.
They have brought back Desire family to the line to make sure that they get enough portfolio for the year. However, they still fell short. What do you think might come next for the company?
