Rush Limbaugh, a conservative prognosticator, argued that Hurricane Matthew’s effects were exaggerated to underline the climate change problem again. The storm which was registered to be of category four was amplified by the administration of Obama for political propaganda. Rush Limbaugh also claims that the Hurricane Matthew has stopped being a top discussion when it hit Florida last week.
- Experts claim the intensity and frequency of hurricanes is giving by global warming.
- Liberals tend to believe scientists and they are trying the prevent climate change.
After the disaster caused in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Al Gore, the vice president, had stated that we are the ones to be blamed for all the disasters which are coming. Man-made warming caused so many tragedies that not only entire affected nations but also the whole planet. We all know that it was published in the media of those times that hurricanes happen because of climate change. After that tragic event, America had experienced 11 years of calm. And now Hurricane Matthew suggests that it is an effect of climate change again.
Limbaugh is right when stating all these, but he skipped one little detail: Hurricane Sandy. This was erased from the list because it was categorized as a category two hurricane, but it was a costly disaster which affected America severely. Specialists claim that it is challenging and not quite right to link all natural disaster with global warming. Notwithstanding, studies had indeed proved that storms are beginning to provoke even more damage because of the rising global temperatures which affect the entire planet.
Some scientists from the University of North Carolina have revealed that the intensity and strength of the cyclones hitting the South and East Asia have alarmingly increased over the last forty years. They have explained that the warmer water from the surface can boost the strength of tropical storms which approach the coast.
Another group of experts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has developed a theory which argues that another climate change problem is extreme flooding. The flood which affected Louisiana last August should only hit once every one thousand years. Since May 2015, there have been registered eight unfortunate events of this type. This is not normal. All these cyclones and hurricanes are nature’s cry for help to preserve our planet and stop global warming.
Americans see climate change problems through the eyes of political officials. According to Pew Research Center, liberals tend to believe the climate experts’ statements and sustain political efforts prone to prevent the evolution of climate change.
Do you think that this political implication is normal? Aren’t authorities supposed to work on climate change reduction?
