Apple has just sent out a media invitation to journalists to a March 9 event. The event comes as a surprise, as Apple’s Tim Cook said that the company would launch the eagerly-awaited Apple Watch in April.
The only information Apple released about the March 9 Apple event was its name, Spring Forward. This refers to the daylight savings, when people all over the world push clocks forward one hour and could be taken as a hint at what Apple plans to reveal at the event.
The safest bet is that Apple is going to finally present the Apple Watch to the world. In January, Tim Cook said that the company is planning to launch their Apple Watch in April, but it appears that there has been a change of plans.
The March 9 Apple event will take place in San Francisco, California at the Yerba Buena Center at 10 a.m. PT. Apple hasn’t revealed whether or not it would transmit the event live online, but it is very likely that they will do it.
The Apple Watch is Apple’s first wearable product. The watch allows users to check their email, it monitors personal health information and it even has Apple Pay, which allows users to pay for goods using just their watch. The Apple Watch is the company’s first new major device since the introduction of the revolutionary iPad in 2010.
Apple has always been a forward thinker and to stay true to its character, the company has launched the campaign for the Apple Watch in the March issue of Vogue, just like a fashion house would.
There are some voices who are saying that Apple will launch so much more than their Apple Watch during their March 9 Apple event. The company is rumored to be working on a 12-inch iPad, dubbed the iPad Pro and it could introduce it to the world this spring. Apple is also long overdue for a new Apple TV and a MacBook Air with Retina Display and fans believe that the company will unveil at least one more new device, aside from the Apple Watch.
