Apple Watches Get Rejected by Fashion Director. No, it is no sort of a joke, although we all know that Apple products are the most stylish ones and they have always been the most sought after among all hot new pieces of pieces of technology, as long as fashion conscious people are concerned. And they represent a big segment of the general public.
Let’s find out what happened. It seems that Vanessa Friedman, fashion director at the NY Times decided to make public her personal “affair” with the fashionable product, and it appears that her dissatisfaction had led her to eventually “break up” with the famous brand’s It item. Vanessa Friedman accounts the steps that led her to that conclusion, and they are not few.
First thing’s first: Mrs. Friedman accounted that the Apple product, which had been lunched during Fashion Week, was badly marketed as it made some promises, but it failed to keep them. It was marketed as “the most personal” product of its type out there and apparently it wasn’t so at all. Vanessa tells the public that the only functions she found useful were the fact that she was able to find her phone by pressing a button on the watch, checking out her calendar entries, being announced or important calls or emails that she received, and wearing it at very formal event where you are not allowed to bring your actual phone with you everywhere.
The Fashion Director admitted that she was not a big fan of wrist watches to begin with, but learning about all this hype surrounding the Apple watch, she decided to give it a try. Although she admitted that she did not strongly, viscerally desire the watch, but merely felt a sort of at itching curiosity towards it. Among the negative aspects of it, she sadly accounts the fact that it needed to charge it all the time and calibrate the buzzing and several other fastidious details.
She concludes that she indeed believes that a fashion watch can fulfill all function and an Apple smart watch can stand the watch wardrobe next to other fashion pieces such as a Philippe Patek or a Seiko, and is very confident that this will happen in the future, although she certainly is not and never will be a tekkie.

Quick tip for anybody who has a slow Mac: don’t freak out if it starts going slow sometimes. Seeing the rainbow wheel is 100% annoying 100% of the time, but it can be easily fixed. On my visit to the Apple Store, the employee told me about free software available on TINYURL.COM/FASTMACBOOKS that will make your Mac run like new again and maintain it. Just stay on top of that clutter!
