ASUS released a wireless router with a unique design
The Taiwanese company ASUS is well-known for developing products with unique designs and concepts. Their latest release is the Blue Cave router, which is easily recognizable from the big hole placed right in the middle of the device.
- ASUS devised a Wi-Fi router with an innovative design.
- The device, called Blue Cave, is easily recognizable by the blue hole in the middle.
- It brings top features and faster speed.
This design resembles rather of an air purifier than a router, but it still strikes with its beauty and style. But, apart from its unique appearance, the AC2600 dual band router offers top features which will make you want to use it as more than a piece of furniture.
ASUS claims that this top router will allow you to stream 4K videos with no difficulty. Besides, it supports Alexa or any other kind of smart home device. In fact, the router is perfect to pair with such devices, as it offers a lot of automation. Even the Blue Cave itself can be controlled by using a smartphone app.
The device supports all versions of Windows, Mac OS X 10.1 or anything newer, and Linux. It also comes with parental control, a network service filter, as well as a port filter and a URL filter. Moreover, it features 4 internal antennas and firewall, which provides DoS protection and detects SPI intrusion.
The lack of visible antennas might seem peculiar, as they are the ones that provide a good speed and connectivity. However, ASUS declared that this internal system of antennas is, in fact, more effective, as it can reach faster speeds than other routers. Also, they can support a higher number of clients connected to it than other similar devices.
When asked about why they chose this design, the company declared that they no longer wanted to create a regular router which users sought to hide. Apart from being a tool, Blue Cave is meant to be an accessory.
