Many rumors revolve around the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins
The release of Assassin’s Creed Origins is official, but Ubisoft wasn’t that generous with the details on the upcoming title. This made many fans develop dozens of theories and a lot of unofficial rumors have surfaced all over the internet. What is clear is that E3 2017 is approaching, and Ubisoft might reveal the official release date.
- A trailer opening of Assassin’s Creed Origins has leaked, which indicates Ancient Egypt as the setting.
- Eurogamer leaks show the same character present on a T-shirt.
- The most likely release date for the game would be this year, sometime closer to Christmas.
Fans have gathered all rumors and leaks and came to the conclusion that the action of Assassin’s Creed Origins is set in Ancient Egypt. Apart from several leaks of artworks and screenshots, Ubisoft offered a small teaser in Watch Dogs 2, and everything points to Ancient Egypt.
The game will tackle with the classic theme of assassination, together with religion and slavery. Assassin’s Creed Origins is a prequel to all the already existent games, but might also contain some elements already present in the four titles. Ubisoft hasn’t revealed anything, but a leaked opening of the trailer confirms all these rumors. The action is set in Thebes, year 1354 BC.
A leak from Eurogamer and WWG offers a glimpse of the possible protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Origins. This is backed up by another atypical one, which is nothing but a T-shirt. However, the character on the T-shirt looks strikingly similar to the one in the leak, so we might have another hint which could turn out legitimate.
Now, everybody is wondering when the game is going to come out. The most logical answer would be sometime this year, closer to Christmas. South Park: The Fractured But Whole is set for October 2017, while Far Cry 5 won’t come sooner than February 2018. Therefore, this period is the most likely to host the release of the latest Assassin’s Creed title.
