T-Mobile has become the first major US carrier to offer the new LTE version of the HTC Nexus 9 flagship phablet boasting the new Android 5.0 Lollipop. The carrier is offering the device for $599.76 or $24.99 for 24 months with $0 down for the high-end model. Users can connect with the T-Mobile high speed cellular wireless data network at the go. The 4G LTE version has a 32 GB of built in storage.
It is for the first time that the Germany based T- Mobile will be offering the Nexus 9 tablet with the LTE facility and by doing this it has become the first major US Carrier to provide the 4G model. This will go a long way in improving the credibility and shore up the image of the Telecom carrier. The Nexus 9 which has been made by HTC was announced the model in October but the model was Wi-Fi enabled only and the price was $399 approximately.
However the price tag of the Nexus 9 with LTE is a bit higher. T-Mobile is offering the $0 price bluntly but will charge a monthly installment of $24.99 for a period of 24 months. This will add up to $599. Thew model is akin in every respect to the Nexus 9 which has been released by HTC two months back except for the LTE support. It has additionally the 8.9 inch Gorilla Glass 3 screen with a resolution of 2048×1536, a rear camera of 8 megapixels and a good battery life thanks to the 6700 mAh battery. It also boasts a 64 bit Nvidia dual core processor and interior memory storage of 32 GB. The 64-bit chip, as one of the highlights of Android 5.0 is support for processors of this type. The device has 2 GB of RAM.
Nexus 9 is now equipped with 4G LTE and the data plans are as follows- For the T-Mobile customers, 200 MB of free data is available every month for the lifetime of the device. For customers who want more they can pay an additional $10 monthly to their already available Simple Choice Plan. For Non T- Mobile users can purchase data chunks at price ranging from $20 to $70 with data stipends from 1GB to 11GB per month.
For promotional purpose, T-Mobile is offering everything in the monthly unlimited family plan. Consumers can get 2 business lines for $100 and get unlimited 4G LTE data, voice calls etc. Or for consumers who do not want to avail the unlimited plan, they can obtain four lines with each line providing 2.5 GB of data at the same price as the unlimited plan.
