September is going to be a busy month for the game maker titan, as Nintendo 3DS Amiibo reader, game and New 3DS are coming this month, so it’s good news for fans of the colorful and fun-loving rival of Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Starting it off with the upcoming Amiibo reader, it should be noted that Amiibos are doll-like controllers for various Nintendo games, that come in some of the more iconic characters such as Yoshi or Mewtwo. They’re an unique part of a world that strives to steer away from the usual explosive entertainment, with hardcore action and brooding protagonists of next-gen consoles.
The trademark feature will soon become available on more than just the New Nintendo 3DS, and any owners of previous versions will be able to purchase an adapter to perfectly bring in their Amiibo to the fold. Nintendo 3DS will support the fun-looking and colorful doll-like controllers with the help of the new Amiibo reader.
And it’s all for the low, low price of… $20. It does seem indeed like a bargain, considering there was no solution before for gamers with older versions of the Nintendo 3DS, except upgrading to the New Nintendo 3DS, which wasn’t anywhere near as cheap.
Plus, this might provide an excellent incentive for gamers to revisit old games in a new fashion.
The New Nintendo 3DS will be coming in a smaller version and a more customizable form. The upcoming system not only boasts a more manageable size than the New Nintendo 3DS XL, but highly improved controls and face-tracking features that are meant to outshine its predecessor.
For the price of $220, you will get the small edition of the New Nintendo 3DS wrapped up nicely in a bundle with the upcoming Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game, along with two cover plates for customization and an Amiibo card.
Animal Crossing is a community simulation video game, which sees the player living in a village with friendly (or not-so-friendly) animals, acting as their little helper, a mayor or simply doing small tasks around the town.
With the new Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, the player will now have to take into account the animals’ needs, tastes and style in order to build a home they will love.
All in all, September 25th will see these new little Nintendo upgrades and releases hitting the market. According the executive vice president of sales and marketing from Nintendo in America, Scott Moffitt, over 15 million units of Nintendo 3DS have been sold only in the United States, and the new models will unlock additional fun ways to enjoy the experience.
