Fans of the franchise will be getting an extra treat, as Nuka-Cola Quantum will debut alongside ‘Fallout 4’ and become available for that extra boost. Sans radiation of course.
- ‘Fallout 4’ will launch on November 10th
- The Jones Soda Company’s Berry Lemonade (Nuka-Cola Quantum) drink will be released at the same time
- It will contain sugar, artificial flavors, natural flavors, carbonated water, food starch, citric acid, preservatives, and Blue 1 food coloring
Any fan who has played ‘Fallout 3’ and ‘Fallout 3: Las Vegas’ will recognize the glowing blue drink packed with nutritional goodness and Action Points (AP) boost. In the world ravaged by nuclear catastrophe, the inventor of the Nuka-Cola is John-Caleb Bradberton in the year 2044, and given its trademark blue color in 2052.
The glowing beverage was rich in carbs, calories, caffeine, and flavor, to encompass all those cravings during an apocalyptic world. The added strontium gives it the glow and the bit of radioactive charm that’s typical to the Fallout world. The Nuka-Cola Quantum variety, however, is a bit more rare to find.
Players wondering around the open, post-apocalyptic world will have used the drink to receive a boost in their aiming. It offered 20 AP and another 10 Radioactive Points. It made life and shooting those mutated assailants just a bit easier. However, it’s needless to say that the blue, glowing drink has a bit of a different purpose outside of fiction.
Nuka-Cola Quantum is simply a manner of promoting the upcoming fourth installment of the Fallout series. A drink is an interesting way to keep the novelty of their product as the attention of multiple fans. Many others have adapted the same ways of advertising, though more popular among TV series, such as HBO’s hits like ‘Game of Thrones’, or ‘True Blood’.
The brew is a repackaged variety of Jones Soda Company’s Berry Lemonade. It will maintain its sugary, fruity taste, though without the added dose of radiation. Instead, the company has opted for the healthier choice in real life of Blue 1 food coloring. It contains sugar, artificial and natural flavors, carbonated water, food starch, citric acid, and preservatives.
Nuka-Cola Quantum will be arriving on the shelves at Target on November 10th, to debut with the release of ‘Fallout 4’. The upcoming game will take place in Boston, at that moment a nuclear wasteland for the players to explore. It’s not very far away, but the game’s developer, Bethesda, is doing the works in promoting their product.
So, Fallout fans both in the United States and Europe who are eager for the upcoming game of the hit franchise, make some space in your fridge in the next week. Both ‘Fallout 4’ and the glowing blue, trademark drink will arrive in a little over a week. It’s uncertain yet if saving the bottle caps will be of any good.
