Regal Entertainment might not be what it used to be as it is now considering sale as one of its options to boost its revenue.
Among the many marketing strategies, it wants to sell the entire company to prevent further deductions in its current standing. This is among the many considerations that this company is looking out. However, they are still feeling optimistic regarding the outcome of the Holidays and the early 2015 for them.
They have already asked Morgan Stanley to look out for the possible options given that they are expecting a huge cash flow in the coming months.
Regal Entertainment is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is known to be the largest domestic theater circuit. It boasts thousands of screens in both the United States and Canada.
It leads over 2,000 screens to its closest competitor – AMC Entertainment. The company is also among the highest grossing companies in this line of business as it reached 18 cents per share. Also, its closest competitor still has to settle debts valued at $2.6 billion.
The company was kind enough to give the public a peek of how it is doing financially. For nine months, the Regal Entertainment was not able to contain the decline in its market value. From $2.3 billion, it went down to $2.2 billion. This may not be too much for the statistics but it is for the company that needs a huge increase in its sales.
Plus, this is already 15 percent of the total earnings of the company. Last year, they were able to produce even more movies. It goes without saying that this could turn into a domino effect for them. Lesser revenue could mean lesser movies. The cycle goes on.
