Police officers arrested Kenilworth high school’s superintendent Thomas Tramaglini after setting up a sting operation to catch the “mystery pooper” that had been terrorizing the school for quite some time.

Police intervened after multiple calls from students complaining about somebody placing excrements along the institution’s football field and track. The 42-year-old school official has been charged with public defecation, littering, and lewdness.

According to the Holmdel Township Police Department, a probe was launched after the school’s sports coaches and teachers reported spotting human feces near or on the high school’s football field and running track “on a daily basis.”

The local media found that the culprit lives just three miles from the school in Monmouth County, NJ.

Police Bust Serial Pooper Monday Morning

On Monday morning at 09:50 GMT, the superintendent was arrested while he was using the school track for a morning run.

The school district reported that the official was placed on paid leave after the arrest. A Facebook post from the school’s board shows that Tramaglini had asked for the paid leave of absence due to the nature of the case.

Under New Jersey laws, unpaid leaves are only affecting those facing tenure charges or indictments, the board explained.
