Based on the recent announcement that the software company made on early Friday morning, special customers get Windows 10 ahead of others. The news has triggered a lot of discontent among PC users, who had been hoping that the online reservation they made was enough to put them on top of the list.
If we were to judge by the recent talks on the Internet, Microsoft has a way of doing things completely different than the rest of the companies. After convincing customers to make reservations for the first version of the Windows 10 operating program, the Windows producer has announced potential buyers that they won’t be the first to get their hands on the new software.
Apparently, there are many more requirements that a customer has to fulfill in order to receive the program on July 29th, the official date set for the launching of the trial version. According to Microsoft’s spokespersons, the first to receive Windows 10 are the 5 million Insiders, who have agreed to test it.
The rest of the customers, who have made reservations will receive the product in the following days, in waves. This means the previous announcement that Microsoft made saying that first customers to make reservations will also be the first to receive the program, is no longer valid.
However, there could be a good side to all this, too. The company has further disclosed that Windows 10 will be upgraded and improved each day as they receive feedback from their Insiders. Thus, the last customers will be the ones to get a better version of the operating system.
According to Terry Myerson, retailers and educational institutions will also receive upgraded versions of Windows 10, so they could later on, recommend the product to their customers. These companies will also assist customers, as they install Windows 10 and its subsequent options.
Microsoft has further stated that more than 1 million people have made a reservation for the new program since May 2015. Developers expect the software to become incredibly reliable, given the large amount of feedback they will receive from their Insiders.
However, neither testers, nor regular customers will have access to the final Windows 10 version at the end of the trial period. Developers have stated that the official product will be released on August 1 in exchange of a payment.
