Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad confessed during a Sunday televised session that he looks up to the three countries that supported his nation throughout the civil war. These are Iran, Russia, and Lebanon which decided to help Syria from a political, military, and economic point of view. Thanks to them, Syria managed to record fewer losses and influence the war in their favor.

Syrian President Assad Perceives the West as an Enemy to the State that Helps Terrorists

President Bashar al-Assad still has to govern over a country that the civil war tore apart for six and a half years. During a televised streaming of the opening event of the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry Conference, the authority voiced out the concern that the West developed several plans throughout time. All these schemes wanted him removed from his presidential seat. However, they haven’t succeeded in this direction.

“Our army is achieving one gain after another every day to eliminate terrorists…”

Syrian President has also revealed that their military officials are going to launch an offensive maneuver with the support of Russian aircraft and Iranian-paid militias. The strategic move will target ISIS militants that are located in Syrian desserts. Assad claimed that his country is ready to cease-fire at the urge of Russia. They intend to put an end on the blood shedding events and recreate a normal internal status quo.

Assad Described the Six-Year-Old Civil War as the Conflict Between Good and Evil

Nonetheless, President Assad believes that it is too early to declare victory. While he perceives Russia, Iran, and Lebanon as allies and friends, he shares different views on the coalition that the U.S. leads.

He claimed that he would start considering cooperation with this side the moment Washington and its allies would cut sponsorships to terrorists. Only after this point could he consider opening embassies to represent the countries within Syrian territory.

The personality has also painted a rough description of the six-year-old civil war. According to him, exterior power triggered the conflict in order to influence international law to the detriment of civilians. On the other hand, the opposition fought for civilian lives and national sovereignty.
