The recently launched video on the official website of the car manufacturer is proof enough that Chevrolet reveals the 2016 Camaro Convertible. The new model has been awaited by customers for a long time as not only the looks, but also the performances of the car have been improved.
Coupe fans may not be tempted by the new vehicle that Chevrolet plans to release in 2016. Its Camaro Convertible model, however, has received lots of good feedback ever since the first pictures were released on the Internet.
The General Motors Division has specified that the structure of the vehicle has been improved compared to other convertibles available on the market. According to them, the electro-hydraulic power roof is made out of many layers that render it more liable and safer on road.
The rooftop looks just like the coupe and has the same soundproofing abilities as the coupe version. Moreover, the company guarantees that any possible thermal problems have been completely eliminated thanks to the new multi-layered structure of the top.
Like in the case of many other convertible models, the rooftop of the new Camaro Chevrolet, too, must be operated with the help of the key fob while stationary. The producer, however, guarantees that the same maneuver may be performed when the car is driving at velocity rates of at most 30 mph (48 km/h), as well.
While solid enough to ensure protection on the road, the lighter structure of the convertible has been well-received by customers as it will most likely make a difference in consumption costs. The convertible Camaro is approximately 200 pounds lighter than the coupe version, according to the company’s declaration.
There are three types of engines that customers may choose from when purchasing Chevrolet’s new car. Producers have included the 275 horsepower 2.0l four-cylinder engine, the 335hp 3.6-litre V6 model and the 6.2-litre V8 capable of delivering up to 455 horsepower. The latter model, however, will be embedded on the high-end version of the car.
Customers may also select the type of transmission they want the manufacturer to provide on their vehicle, depending on their financial opportunities. The convertible Camaro comes with either a manual transmission of six speed categories or an eight-speed automatic system.
Chevrolet spokespersons did not make any declaration in relation to the price of the new car. Based on analysts’ suppositions, the vehicle will most likely make its entrance on the international market next year with the help of the non-authorized dealers.
