Based on a recent announcement released by Apple, a tiny iOS device can turn iPhones into DSLR cameras with more or less the same advanced features. The gadget is connected on the iPhone using a Lightning connecter and it can immediately change any iPhone or iPad into a fully-functional DSLR.
It’s been quite some time now since iPhone users have been complaining about the photo qualities of their embedded smartphone cameras. While the devices are capable of taking accurate and average pictures, they still feature some glitches that users would like the manufacturer to solve in the near future.
In their opinion the 8MP camera is too rudimentary compared to other models on the market. Moreover, some of the specifications that make the difference between a normal camera and a highly advanced one, such as the shutter speed and the setting aperture, are completely absent.
Even though customers have expressed their preferences on numerous other occasions, the smartphone producer has come up with a new, more profitable solution. They have created a tiny device that can turn iPhones into DSLR cameras the moment they are connected to one another.
DxO One, as it has been officially named, is only 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 4 ounces. The gadget has been purposefully designed this way to make it much easier to carry around than the well-known DSLR cameras.
In spite of its small size, the gadget can capture HD images and videos. These can be later on, edited and shared across various online platforms with the help of the DxO One menu. The memory storage capacity of the tiny iOS device can also be improved with the help of the microSD cards.
DxO One has all the necessary equipment to work as an independent device except for the battery source. The producing company did not specify whether the attachable camera contributes to the fast consumption of the smartphone battery, but chances are that the iPhone battery will exhaust itself at a much higher rate once the attachment is connected.
The gadget comes with its own image editing software, the company concluded. The official launching date has been set for this fall, but the exact date is not yet known.
The official price of the DxO One camera has been set to $599. Analysts think the price is somewhat big compared to what the camera is capable of doing. Yet, Apple explained that the tiny device is competing against HD cameras; hence, the elevated costs.
