‘Transracial’ Man, Who Was Born White, Identifies as Filipino

November 14, 2017 by Jakob Nielsen Leave a Comment

Transracial man Ja Du a Pinay A white man from Florida, who also happens to be transitioning to a woman, claims that he is ‘transracial’ and should be identified as Filipino. The man made a brief appearance on a Tampa Bay TV station to tell his story.

Ja Du a Pinay told reporters that he really enjoys the culture of the Filipinos and all things related.

“Whenever I’m around [Filipino] music, around the food, I feel like I’m in my own skin,”

the man said.

He also confessed that he is often binge-watching the History Channel, but nothing has ‘intrigued’ him more than the Filipino history and culture. However, it is worth noting that Filipino is an ethnicity, not a race, so claiming that you’re transracial just because you identify as Filipino is a big nonsense.

What Does ‘Transracial’ Really Mean?

Experts note that:

  • being ‘transracial’ is just about the same thing as wanting to change one’s body or religion if they no longer feel comfortable with the old one.
  • ‘transracial’ is not very mainstream, but people like Rachel Dolezal, a Caucasian woman who leads one of the BLM’s chapters and claims she’s black, made the headlines in recent years.

However, Ja Du a Pinay may be taking things a little too far. He might embrace a culture and feel at home in a totally different country than his own, but that doesn’t make him ‘transracial.’

Many people went overseas, married locals, had children, and decided to apply for citizenship. But that didn’t mean they changed their race even though many of those people say they feel more let’s say Chinese or Australian than American after such life experiences.

To date, none of them passed off as having a different ethnicity and made it to national TV. Claiming a different ethnic identity not only borders mental disorder but it can also be considered theft.
