In the meantime, however, the gamemaker have made their accompanying app available for gamers. It will allow them to try it out for a couple of days. Until then, it’s rather clear that it won’t be doing too much.
The Pip-Boy app will interact with your genuine version of the videogame, provided you have pre-ordered or will purchase the proper edition. If you did, there are essentially no more barrier for you to pass in order to use the tiny tracker. It has been described as the “finest, easiest-to-use personal information processor”.
The app will sync with your game, allowing you to view stats, your inventory, map, or even radio while you’re away. It will provide with additional information on your gameplay, with a professional-looking design and themed interface. It would be more than familiar for those well acquainted with the Wasteland.
No matter what platform you have chosen for ‘Fallout 4’, the Pip-Boy app will function just fine. It will sync with your Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC while you’re away from your game system. From there, it will remember your status, and how far you’ve delved into the gameplay.
Considering the game has not been released yet, there’s naturally not much to do. However, the app will be offering a few mini-games related to the franchise. In the meantime, the gamemaker has also offered a demo to test out of the waters. That way, by the time the game actually releases, users will be ready for it at their most extended length.
The Pip-Boy app is available on the Google Play Store for Android devices, the App Store for iPhones, and it’s already reportedly available for Windows Phones as well.
The ‘Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition Bundle’ is now available at GameStop for $189.99, for all platforms, be it consoles or computers. So far, it’s only up for pre-order, but it will also become up for grabs by the time ‘Fallout 4’ releases officially on November 10th this year.
It’s good for Bethesda to keep launching free apps ahead of the game. It keeps the hype alive, and heightens anticipation.
