"Google's Al Department Created the First 'Dreaming' Computer"

Inceptionism enables developers at Google’s Al Department to program computers to generate images.

Spokespersons have disclosed on Saturday evening that Google’s Al Department created the first ‘Dreaming’ computer. The system uses a neural network based on image recognition algorithms that can match real objects according to their peculiarities.

Google’s Al Department has been in charge of many ambitious projects in the past before, but scientists think the recent ‘dreaming’ computer they have created is the most praiseworthy. Many of the experiments that are being carried out in this department are meant to improve the recognition abilities of software and online programs.

According to scientists’ declaration, Google has teamed up with Facebook to enable their Al robot to recognize pictures and classify them based on the objects they contain. The computer relies on a new technology called Inceptionism to match images to certain criteria.

Google told the press that the computer is “trained” to learn objects and their characteristics. Thus, Al can now tell a fork from a spoon because a fork requires a handle and four pointy tines. On the other hand, the computer will not eliminate shorter or colored forks because it has learned that forks may come in different shapes and forms.

The same technique was used by researchers at Google to teach Al various other objects and beings. As a consequence, the network is capable of identifying dogs, flowers, humans and many other elements.

The neural network is made out of approximately 30 layers of artificial neurons. They do not work simultaneously, but successively enabling the computer to make increasingly more connections. Every new layer brings a new source of information which is deposited in the network, until the picture is entirely decoded and interpreted.

However, Inceptionism enables scientists to program the computer to generate images, not just to recognize them. The process is similar to the recognition technique, as the computer starts generating new images from a given form, be it the size of a dot.

Thanks to Inceptionism, Google’s Al Department managed to create a series of mind-blowing pictures that appear to have been portrayed by Pablo Picasso himself. One of the picture shows dogs as they float on clouds and birds driving cars.
