Sega has been teasing fans for the past few weeks upon the content of their latest bundle of games. The waiting has ended as officials announced the Classics Collection from Sega will be available this April. Some of the titles are new, and some are there from the early ears of Sea success, but the collection is believed to be a success among fans.
- Sega added four new games to the collection, two of which are new only to the English-speaking public
- The bundle will contain a reboot of the Sonic the Hedgehog game
- Classics Collection from Sega will be available this April at a retail price of $29.99
- The collection comprises a total of 9 games
Alien Soldier, Landstalker or Shining Force II are still not rebooted by Sega, but the bundle does contain some new games such as Maze Walker and Fantasy Zone Two: Opa-Opa Tears. Others are already available for individual purchase on the eShop, and then there’s Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beasts which every Sega fan owns in at least two copies. But they are that stars of the company and they attract customers like a power hit.
The classics collection from Sega will be available this April and will also feature some interesting additions that, while not entirely new, represent a novelty for the American English speaking players. Puyo Puyo Two and Power Drift will certainly attract some attention as they also cannot be individually purchased.
There are more Sega games that deserve a 3D reboot and fans are compiling lists and sending them to the company in the hope that the next bundle will comprise at least two of the titles.
It seems that old-school gaming is all in the new right now. First Atari announces a compilation of 100 classic arcade games and now the classics collection from Sega will be available this April for all North American players.
The complete list of games can be consulted in the list below:
- Puyo Puyo Two
- Power Drift
- Fantasy Zone Two: Opa-Opa Tears
- Maze Walker
- Fantasy Zone Two W
- Thunder Blade
- Galaxy Force Two
- Altered Beasts

The classics collection from Sega will be available this April and will have a retail price of $29.99. Taking into account the fact that most of the fans will buy the bundle for just a few of the titles that are announced, the price is reasonable.
