Most of us are not morning persons. Even though we have to get up and go to school or to work, there will always be those “5 more minutes” we want to stay in bed. It seems that now we have a good reason to do this. According to a new study, viruses more dangerous in the morning.
- Researchers discovered that viruses are more dangerous in the morning.
- The body clock seems to play a role in defending us against viruses. People who work at night should pay attention to their health.
- The best way to be healthy is to stay away from fast-food and soda and exercise as much as possible.
Researchers from the University of Cambridge discovered that morning hours are the most likely time that viruses are more effective. The study was published in the Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences. Every cell has its own clock which allows them to anticipate changes and take actions. This means that if we are exposed to a virus at a morning hour, its infection will be faster. The experiment was mad using mice who were infected with herpes. It seems that given that our body clocks play a role in defending us from viruses, their molecular machinery may offer a new way to fight infection.
What did they found out? People who work at night, for example, could get easier the flu. This study also explains why flu is more common during winter time. It is very hard for the virus to take over the body in the right time. However, an infection in them morning can be dangerous.
What can we do if we want to be healthy? First of all, we should keep away the bad habits such as smoking or drinking alcohol because they are not good for our body. Another important thing is to eat as healthy as possible. You can choose from fruits and vegetables because fast-food can lead to obesity or heart-attacks. Moreover, go to a doctor at least twice a year. He is the only one that can tell you what problems you have regarding your health.
If you have a usual working program, be aware of the fact that viruses are more dangerous in the morning. Scientists want to make more research to find out what other effects viruses have in the morning.
