Things become more precious when they are scarce, something which is utilized to the hilt by companies who create artificial scarcity and make hay while the sun shines. Disney has threatened parents of withdrawing classics like Snow White DVD and their kids will become adults without a dose these classics. Apple has also done something similar when it announced that it is curtains over its famed iPod. People are still demanding the iPod and they are also willing to pay a little more also.

The Guardian has reported that iPod Classics are selling now at four times its original price.
The 160 GB iPod Classic can hold up to 40,000 songs and are being sold as new via Amazon for up to £670. The seventh and the last version were released by Apple in 2010 and they are selling briskly from eBay shelves with price tags between £350 and £500.
