It’s July 15th and only for the next 24 hours will users be able to take advantage and “Get Primed”, and there already are some Amazon’s “Prime Day” deals to take. To celebrate its 20th birthday, amazon.co.uk has been slicing over its prices for certain gadgets, games and mostly electronics.
While there is a dark history surrounding special sales, not all is lost and there are some offers that could cause some frantic clicking during the day. Amazon has been advertising July 15th to rival the sales of Black Friday, with only a small catch: you have to be a prime member of the website.
However, it does not prove to be too much of an impediment for most users as they can sign up even during the sales, pay for a one-month subscription and take advantage of the exclusive, one-time deals. Amazon has put a surprising 170 different items up for sale with discounts, but without the promise of an endless stock.
Users need to keep an eye out and not afford themselves too much time for hesitation before the items sold out. Throughout the day and within the already generous number of products offered, there will be the so-called “lightning discounts”, a time-limited deal that will disappear not long after it pops out.
It will attention on screens and likely several clicks on the refresh buttons for enthusiasts who enjoy a good sale now and again. A series of Fire products have been sliced down to almost half price, such as Fire TV Stick, Fire TV and Fire HD 7 Tablet. Among the devices, other tablets such as Kindle underwent decent price changes, along with Lenovo laptops, headphones and more.
Even if not all the items on Amazon will gain the title of bargain, as expected for special sales, some people will be happier than others. If the current offers are taken into consideration, the winners so far are gamers by a long shot.
To celebrate its anniversary, amazon.co.uk has put next gen consoles along with genuine copies of games up on the table with colorful balloons and noise poppers all around them.
Prime users can pick up a 1TB Xbox One along with “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” and an extra controller for the price of £329 (approximately $514). Or, if their hearts are tied to Sony, for the same price, they can purchase a 1TB PlayStation 4 along with “Destiny” and “Ultra Street Fighter IV”, and an additional three months of PlayStation Plus.
Nintendo is not sitting out of this race either, with users being able to purchase a premium Wii U along with “Super Mario Bros. U” and “Super Luigi” for £185 (approximately $290).
Among the consoles, deals for videogames could turn out to be the most successful, with an entire slew of games for all platforms available for sale.
“Prime Day” will only last for the next 24 hours and users should be keeping one eye on the screens if they want to catch those “lighting” discounts.
