Fruits are rich in all sorts of vitamins but there’s more to them than meets the eye and it looks like a fruit diet can reduce erectile dysfunction.

Erectile dysfunctions are usually something men are ashamed of but we should know that such a condition is quite common and can be treated using a natural treatment. According to a new study, the substances found in berries, citrus fruits and red wine can actually help men who struggle with this condition.
Apparently these are all rich in flavonoids, the substances which give fruits their colors. There are three particular types of flavonoids which can treat erectile dysfunctions. These are anthocyanins which are usually found in berries as well as in red wine; and flavanones and flavones which are found in citrus fruits.
The study shows that men who usually consumed foods which have a high quantity of flavonoids have a 10 percent lower risk of suffering erectile dysfunctions. This doesn’t mean you have to eat fruits for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but a few portions of fruit per week should suffice. Also, it is not recommended to over indulge in red wine.
The study was held over a very long period of time and had about 25,000 participants who were middle-aged or older. The findings showed that a higher level of fruit intake can reduce erectile dysfunctions by 14 percent.
However, some scientists are not very satisfied with the results. Although flavonoids can indeed boost a man’s chances of achieving and maintaining an erection, it doesn’t necessarily mean that is all there is. In other words, berries might not be the only ones responsible for you having a better and healthier sex life.
Some believe it’s not just about the berries, but about a healthy lifestyle in general and a balanced diet which, of course, should definitely include lots of fruits as well as a glass of wine once a day. But don’t forget to make sure it’s only one glass, because otherwise, even finding the bed might prove to be difficult.
All in all, berries or not, make sure you eat healthy and have a balanced diet and the risk of suffering erectile dysfunctions will definitely decrease.
