As the latest study shows, the female Viagra has many side effects that were not discovered before. It seems that the new drug, that has recently been approved, is manufactured by Sprout pharmaceutical and its specific role will be that of heightening the libido and increasing the satisfaction that young females experience during sex, working as an anti-depressant.
The Food and Drug Administration has rejected the medicine twice in the past. It is recommended that women should take the drug, named Flibanserin, every day. Studies show that an increasing part of of the female population is suffering from this disorder. At the present time, statistics point up to 43% of women, and the number is rapidly increasing.
As long as men are concerned, one out of ten men suffers from erectile or ejaculation dysfunction, according to the Centers for Disease control and Prevention. The drug had to be approved because there was a lot of pressure coming from women’s groups which militated fir equality under all aspects and it was only fair that a counterpart for the male Viagra was going to be launched on the market as well.
The side effects have to be taken into account as well, regardless of people’s enthusiasm for the wonder drug. And apparently, they are quite numerous, including: drowsiness, nausea and a certain extent of anxiety. The little pink pill will also help the alleviation of the pre-menopausal syndrome that negatively affects all women passed over 50 years old.
The drug has helped women that participated in the studies enjoy a better sexual experience, but the results have been described as “modest” in comparison with the effects of the male blue pill. Feminist activists are claiming that the results are better than nothing, and that in time medical research will surely bring out better results.
