A recent study shows that plants have more benefits for our health and their proteins reduce the risk of mortality at an early age.

Even though more people were consuming protein from animals, the study results showed that this choice could be associated with higher mortality.
Most of the participants had at least one unhealthy lifestyle factor, such as smoking, obesity or too much alcohol consumption. The study proves that plant protein is better for our health and that we should eat more legumes and fruits rather than consuming red meat, which can be a real danger for our bodies.
The real problem is that no many people pay attention to what they are eating. Fast food is getting more and more popular and we live in such a hurry that we forget we should take care of our health. Researchers were not able to prove if proteins are good for humans, on a long-term. What is certain is that the substitution of plant protein for animal protein can really help us. Many people figured that out and now are having a healthier lifestyle.
The risk of mortality can be associated mostly with the consumption of processed red meat, while there was no association with the protein from fish. The authors of the study advise people to have more plants in their meals if they want a lower risk of death. Plant proteins may have the most beneficial effects on our bodies.
