Based on recent reports Samsung introduces Super Slim Galaxy Tab S2 tablet on September 3. The new product is expected to raise the stakes for Apple’s iPad Air 2, but it may not offer many reasons for customers to ditch their old tablets and opt for the new model instead.
Samsung has recently confirmed that it will be introducing its new models of tablets at the beginning of September. According to the discussions that have been previously made, the Galaxy Tab S2 comes in two sizes. There will be a 9.7-inch and an 8-inch variant to better meet users’ preferences.
The screen is not the only aspect that helps differentiate between the two models. According to the producer’s declaration, the Wi-Fi connection could also inspire users to choose between various models. The 8-inch Wi-Fi model packed with 32GB will be available in exchange of $399.99, whereas for the 9.7-inch version, customers can pay $499.99 if they purchase the Wi-Fi 32GB prototype or $599.99 for the LTE version.
Customers will pay the same amount of money for the 64GB tablet if they go for the Wi-Fi model. It all depends on users’ needs and whether they want faster Internet connection or larger storage space.
The inside components have been improved, as well, compared to the past models. Tab S2 models will come with an octacore: four cores of 2.1GHz and four of 1.9GHz. The 3GB memory did not impress tech savvies considering that Samsung’s phablet sported a 4GB memory capacity.
As the name indicates, Samsung’s new models have a super slim design and the plastic material is much lighter than the metal case that developers used on their previous tablets. The larger version weighs approximately 389g, whereas the smaller model is the best alternative for customers who look for light gadgets due to its 265g.
The rear camera is not to be neglected either. Samsung has packed an 8-megapixel camera on its new tablets allowing 2560 x 1440, 30 fps shootings. Even though both tablets work with Android 5 Lollipop, they will also feature many Microsoft apps.
Tab S2 will be available in gold, white and black versions.
