It has been eight years since the first game was released on PlayStation 3, and now, the Uncharted collection gets a retouch and a trailer for the re-mastered edition specially made for PlayStation 4.
The flames of envy might spark in old standing players that newcomers to the series will be able to enjoy the adventures of Nathan Drake on the next-generation console, with beautifully done modifications that take advantage of the advance in technology. The modifications are felt in lighting, rendering, frame rate, texture mapping, dynamic audio and several others that promise Bluepoint Games’ work has been greatly dedicated.
The Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection will feature all previously released games of the franchise, Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception, with a brand new and shiny look to transfer the game from the less performing PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4. You will now be able to replay, or be one of the fortunate ones to experience the game with enhanced graphics and game play for the first time.
The trailer for the, so far, trilogy has been released and features the touching storyline of Nathan Drake, an explorer and adventurer to give his often deemed female counterpart, Lara Croft, a run for her money (which is famously quite a lot). It has been one of the most defining and important franchises of the PS 3 era, with thrilling game play and beautifully done storyline.
Game developer, Naughty Dog, have thus decided to pay tribute to one of their biggest successes by gathering up a re-mastered collection of their three games featuring Nathan Drake as a protagonist, after bringing both the exciting and saddening news that the fourth and final installment will be released next summer, in 2016.
Starting with our hero in his teenage years, the trailer tells the story that most fans are familiar with, and offers insight into the newly re-done game play that will be now available for PS 4 users. There will no need to wait in between games, and avid fans of the series or newcomers will get the best possible versions out of the saga to experience for the first time.
Or to add to their collection of games that they might want to revisit someday. And, ahead of the Uncharted 4 release, most might want to go through the entire story again, refresh their memories and get back into the shoes of Nathan Drake before playing through the final chapter of his story.
It will feature a few new modes for gamers to enjoy, such as Explorer Mode for those who wish lower combat difficulty, Brutal Difficulty and Speed Run. The Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection will be released on October 7th for PlayStation 4 users.
