Biggest McDonald’s in the World Closed, Bigger One to Open

Umm… have it your way?

We all like fast food. Sure, some of us may eat healthy, and completely avoid fast food, but they still probably have those days in which they wish for an old timey hamburger. And what other restaurant is a better symbol of American fast food consumerism than McDonald’s? And to prove its point that bigger is better, the biggest McDonald’s in the world closed, bigger one to open.

  • The enormous restaurant opened its doors in 1976
  • The biggest McDonald’s in the world was and will continue to be located in Orlando, Florida
  • The old restaurant employed somewhere around 200 people
  • The new restaurant, once opened, will provide about 100 additional jobs
  • The new, bigger McDonald’s will open its doors in February 2016
  • The new fast food joint will measure over 19,000 square feet

After delighting, and let’s face it, fattening millions with its unique shape, size, as well as with its other available features, the biggest McDonald’s in the world, located in Orlando, Florida, is about to close its gates for good.

Being built in the shape of a giant box of French fries, the very large restaurant offered, among the usual services a McDonald’s restaurant offers, a number of other attractions.

People from all over the state, and even from throughout the country drove their way to Florida in order to enjoy a Big Mac and some fries, and play some bowling while they were at it.

It’s true, this McDonald’s was not only the biggest in the world, but it was so big that it also featured a bowling alley, and provided jobs for over 200 people.

But

don’t worry, citizens of Florida, as your state will still hold its current record.

The old restaurant will close just about a month before a new, even bigger restaurant will open right across the street.

The new restaurant will be much bigger than the old one, and it will offer even more extra features.

The authorities didn’t say anything about a new bowling alley, however they did mention a few things that will probably get the fast food enthusiasts among us quite excited about the new location.

First of all, and also the least exciting, is that the restaurant will feature not one, but two drive-through lanes.

Second of all, the new restaurant will feature a self-order kiosk, where customers will be able to customize their sandwiches.

And last but not least, the restaurant will continue to serve its traditional menu items, but it will also provide a wood oven, a pizza and pasta area, and it will also serve special items for those that consider themselves gourmet.
