Many OnePlus 5 users complained about a peculiar jelly effect while scrolling. As expected, this issue is quite bothering, but the manufacturing company claim this effect is natural. Therefore, there aren’t any chances that the devices will be changed or fixed.
- OnePlus 5 owners noticed a jelly effect glitch on their devices while scrolling.
- The company called this effect natural, and not a manufacturing defect.
- There’s no way for upset owners to fix this bug on their phones.
Owners of OnePlus 5 devices discovered something weird with their phones. When they scroll, the display has some sort of jelly effect. This phenomenon is a little bit harder to explain, but the screen seems to lag during scrolling.
Some parts of the page or app that users are viewing take a little longer to catch up with the rest. This creates a visual illusion which makes the screen look like it has a jelly effect. As expected, this upset the users, which reached out to OnePlus for a response.
Unfortunately, the company does not regard this as a problem. It claims OnePlus 5 devices have components of the same level of quality as all the other devices, and the AMOLED display is one of them.
They admit receiving some complaints from users regarding this “visual effect” which appears while scrolling, but they called it “natural”. It seems that this jelly effect is present across all OnePlus 5 devices, with no variation, and this only means one thing.
The company has no intention of releasing an update to fix this bug. Also, replacing your device for another doesn’t solve the problem either, since all of them come with the same jelly effect on their screen.
OnePlus insisted on stressing that this phenomenon was not the result of a manufacturing or a QA defect. Therefore, users have nothing else to do than get used to their phones functioning like that, or maybe switching to a different device if the bug bothers them so much.
